Thestory in Invisible War takes place 20 years after the events in theoriginal Deus Ex. You find a futuristic world on the brink of chaosafter the dismantling of the mighty biotech corporations, a world wheremultiple religious and political groups now lust after power. As thedifferent factions struggle for control, it is you who must determinethe good from the bad.
As in the original game, the style of playhelps shape the game as it progresses, from how characters interactwith the protagonist to the types of situations encountered. Characterscan once again outfit their bodies with an array of biotech parts, someof which include the ability to see through walls, disappear fromradar, regenerate from critical hits, or jump 40 feet in the air. Thenon-linear story takes players from Seattle to remote locations in Cairoand Antarctica.
Enhancements to the core engine include aretooled physics system, refined AI, added character animation, and morechoices on the part of the player.
